Our Vehicles
Intimate Places operates a fleet of vehicles to include trucks which are used to move our luxury mobile camps from location to location, 4 x 4 pick-ups which are used for resupplies and Safari vehicles which are used by our “fly-in” (or “Game Package”) guests.
Our fleet of guest Safari vehicles include both “open” as well as “closed” Safari
vehicles.
‘Open’ Game Viewing Vehicles
As the name implies, these vehicles are designed with open cabins which are intended
to allow our guests to get close to the nature and wildlife which they visit Tanzania to enjoy. Use of these vehicles is permitted in all the National Parks except for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where closed vehicles must be used.
These vehicles are equipped with fridge / freezers for cold drinks and special compartments to the rear of each vehicle also allow us to carry tables, chairs, drinksn and bitings for the all-important sundowner cocktails in the wilderness.
‘Panoramic’ Game Viewing Vehicles
These are the most usual Safari vehicles to be found on the Tanzania Northern Safari circuit. Unlike “open” vehicles, they are allowed access everywhere including the world famous Ngorongoro Crater.
As with our ‘Panoramic” vehicles, these are also fitted with fridge / freezers and electrical outlets. In addition, we are experimenting with mobile WiFi units which will allow our guests to exchange e-mails as well as text messages with friends and family back home from the comfort of their own Safari car

What our camp guests say
We stayed at the Intimate Camp in October after a last minute change from our tour operator, but we were so lucky to do so. The camp is in a beautiful location with stunning views, surrounded by the wildlife we had come to see.
We had an amazing time! everything was perfect!! Our two teenagers absolutely loved the place. Beautiful and cozy clean rooms. The staff was super kind and warm. The food was excellent. Can’t wait to come back
